Seminar on the Management and Implementation of South African Government-sponsored Foreign Students'Learning Projects in Chongqing Higher Vocational Colleges Was Held

   On June 21, a seminar on the management and implementation of public-sent overseas students from South African Government of Chongqing Higher Vocational Colleges was held in Conference Room 2. (South Africa) Chen Songtao, Deputy Director of the Center for Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange, Wang Zhenyu, Executive Manager, Chongqing Institute of Electronic Engineering and Chongqing Industry Polytechnic Technology. More than 30 leaders of project colleges, international project managers attended the meeting. Vice-President Moku, International Cooperation and Exchange Center, and staff of Schools of Cultural Industry Management participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Lyv Hong, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Center.

Moku delivered a speech on behalf of the school. He thanked the Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center (South Africa) for the government-sponsored overseas student program introduced by Chongqing Higher Vocational Colleges. At the same time, he warmly welcomed the representatives of the participating fraternal colleges. Manager Wang Zhenyu introduced the cooperation background, operation mode, trial implementation, work flow and assessment System of the South African Program of China-South Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance. Lyv Hong, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Center of the University, introduced the preparations for the South African Project from the aspects of curriculum system, teaching management, student management, internship management, employment and alumni management. Yang Juan, deputy director of the International Department of Chongqing Institute of Engineering, shared the curriculum arrangement, quality development and internship training. In particular, constructive suggestions were put forward for students' vacation management. Wang Jing, Director of International Department of Chongqing Real Estate Vocational College, shared project application materials and student internship programs. Delegates at the meeting held heated discussions on the implementation of the South African project.

The implementation of South African students training in higher vocational colleges is conducive to further deepening the cooperation between China and South Africa in the field of vocational education and skilled personnel training, serving the economic development and industrial upgrading of two countries, and is of great significance to enhance the overall level of international development of Higher Vocational Colleges in Chongqing.
